CASA DEL GHIACCIO

The Building is defined by the front city facade, which enables a quality view of the harbor and which is at the same time a part of the city landscape. The memory of the city defines this building as a large volume that deviates from the fractality that is specific to the old city. The back street has a completely different Mediterranean character of a narrow closed stone street from which through smaller openings and crevices of the atrium of the side steps one can feel the intimate space behind them. The rear façade is designed as a memory of the old volume of the original building.
